Sakis Fragos, publisher and chief editor of Rock Hard Greece, spoke with Jon Oliva about the new album, and here is brief information about it.
After the last album “Poets and Madman” (2001) with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, John “Jon” Oliva said that he has intentions to release the new Savatage’s album in April the next year and to takes part in the summer festivals the next year, because this can be the last band’s album ever.
In some of the songs will sing Zak Stevens, in some of them – Jon Oliva, and in some of the songs they will sing together.
In the album will take part Steve Wacholz, Jeff Plate, Johnny Lee Middleton, Al Pitrelli, Chris Caffery, Jane Mangini, Vitalij Kuprij. Oliva said that the working title is “Curtain Call”. It is also the name of the very last song of the album. It will be acoustic piano song and he will sing it. This song will be his last goodbye to the fans.
After releasing the CD, Jon has intentions to play on festivals. He said that Savatage has too many offers for concerts and festivals.
