Paul Stanley about the Kiss farewell tour

Paul Stanley said during an interview for the Australian show “The Project” that Kiss’s World Farewell Tour has been ongoing for three years. It began in 2019 and was interrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. “The End Of The Road Tour” was supposed to conclude on July 17, 2021, in New York City. The band has performed at 250 concerts, with the tour set to conclude in December 2023. The final concert will take place in the Hall of Fame in New York and is expected to be a grand spectacle.

Kiss was created by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley in 1973. The current members are the former members Paul Stanley (guitar, vocals) and Gene Simmons (bass, vocals), the guitarist Tommy Thayer (since 2002) and the drummer Eric Singer (on and off since 1991).

Paul Stanley said that the guys are 70 years old and they cannot continue to perform, because of intellectual and physical reasons. Their appearance with 30-40 kg costumes on the stage is no longer possible. “We’re really at the top of our game still. And now’s the time to do a victory lap and go out there with our heads held high and say thank you to everybody and do a show that really encapsulates and really pays tribute not only to us but to the fans.”
