
The American rock legend Alice Cooper decided to publish a book about his life. The book’s title is “Starring Alice Cooper”, and it will be released in May 2024. This has been announced Rufus Publications. The edition contains 400 pages with history and great photos. Alice Cooper personally leaded the project. The book will be available to pre-order on November 17. Every copy will be personally signed.
The book reveals the 70 years of Alice Cooper’s career, the albums with the original band like “School’s Out” and “Billion Dollar Babies”, “Welcome to my Nightmare” – his first solo album in ’75, the incredible success of “Trash” and “Hey, Stoopid” to nowadays with “Detroit Stories” and the last album “Road”, which is an autobiographical farewell masterpiece. The rock icon gathered music and theater in one and created a totally new kind of shows. His music sounds always new, different, and developing, and it has left a big impact on the music from the ’70 to nowadays.
“Starring Alice Cooper” includes essays on Alice’s career from several renowned writers – the former Creem magazine editor Jaan Uhelszki, Rock Et Folk’s Jerome Soligny, and Katherine Turman, co-author of “Louder Than Hell”. The book has an introduction by the famous fantasy author and longtime Alice fan Neil Gaiman.
