The Finnish power/speed metal band Sonata Arctica released their new album “Clear Cold Beyond” on March 8th, 2024, via Atomic Fire Records.

The album starts with the optimistic speed melodies of “First In Line” and continues with the more dark fast riffs of “California” and “Shah Mat”. “Dark Empath” has more romantic and dark atmosphere. “Cure For Everything” is a typical power metal optimistic song. “A Monster Only You Can’t See” is a little sad and more philosophic song. “Teardrops” and “Angel Defiled” are another speed instrumental triumph of the guitar lines. “The Best Things” is a melodic ballad and the album’s final is the title song “Clear Cold Beyond” with its crystal bells sounds and magical atmosphere.
