The Metallica’s charitable All Within My Hands Foundation gave a $100 000 dollars donation to support the Hurricane Helene relief efforts. The hurricane struck the landfall on September 26 and caused destruction in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. It killed at least 230 people; many are without electricity, and hundreds are missing without a trace.
World Central Kitchen and Team Rubicon are the two organizations that are helping the people to survive and recover from this tragedy.
World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit organization run by philanthropist and chef José Andrés, is reaching isolated communities and bringing them vital food and clean water, using helicopters and airboats. They are partners with 35 food trucks and 16 restaurants, and they bring thousands of hot meals and sandwiches to the families in need.
Team Rubicon has more than 140 volunteers that are called Greyshirts. They cleaned more than 400 dump trucks full of debris. They continue to work in more than 35 communities in Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.
Metallica’s All Within My Hands donated $50,000 each to World Central Kitchen and Team Rubicon to help them do their job.
