The first vocalist of Iron Maiden Paul Di’Anno passed away in his home at the age of 66. Di’Anno was a vocalist in the first two albums of the British metal band. Born in Chingford, East London on May 17, 1958, he took the vocals in the debut album of Iron Maiden, called “Iron Maiden” /1978/ and the next album “Killers” /1981/. He was later in the band Battlezone and the star in his band Killers, also he had solo albums. The star had many health issues in the last years, but continued to sing at concerts and to amuse his fans in an invalid wheelchair.
A documentary about the life and the career of Paul Di’Anno will be released in 2025. The director of the movie is Wes Orshoski, co-director and producer of the acclaimed 2010 film “Lemmy” about the Motörhead legendary vocalist.
