The famous Romanian festival for extreme and heavy metal music Rockstadt Extreme Fest announced the new 40 bands for its 2025 edition.

After the incredible success of this year’s edition with Behemoth, Kreator, Sodom, Delain, Saxon, Abbath, Bury Tomorrow, Lacuna Coil, Testament, Eluveitie, Watain and many more bands, the most famous festival in Transylvania will rise again from July 30 to August 3, 2025. This time in the field in front of the Rasnov Tower will play Gojira, who became famous for their epic performance to the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in Paris, France this year, Powerwolf, Mastodon, Wardruna, Lord of the Lost, Emperor, Wind Rose, Obituary, Within Temptation, Dope, Draconian, The Kovenant, Myrkur, Marduk, Orange Goblin, Soen, Septicflesh, Static X, and many more.

Today Rockstadt Extreme Fest is honoring one of the festival’s creators – Adrian Rugină, who died in the tragic accident in Bucharest burning “Colectiv” Club on October 30th, 2015. 64 was killed and 146 were injured by the fire. Adrian Rugină and Claudiu Petre went back many times inside the burning building to rescue other people. Both were posthumously decorated in 2015 with the National Order of Merit in the rank of Knight by the President of Romania. One of the main stages of Rockstadt Extreme Fest is named after Adrian Rugină.

Rocksadt Extreme Fest 2025 will host the last Sepultura’s show in Romania. The band has taken a decision to end their career with the last album “Quadra”. They started their European 40 Years Farewell Tour “Celebrating Life Through Death” on October 30 in Paris, France. They will record 40 live tracks during the 40 Years Farewell Tour. Sepultura said that this in a conscious decision to die.
