The Finnish hard rock/metal band Lordi released their 19th studio album on the 21st of March, 2025, via Reigning Phoenix Music. The name of the new album is “Limited Deadition”. It is mastered by Pauli Saastamoinen and mixed by Ilkka Herkman. The band members are Tomi Petteri Putaansuu, known as Mr. Lordi – vocals; Hella – keyboards, backing vocals; Mana – drums, backing vocals; Hiisi – bass, backing vocals; Kone – guitars, backing vocals. The legends of the monsters rock present a conceptual album, divided into several parts as a TV series, “The Hexecutioners”. “Legends Are Made Of Clichés” is the first song that places us into the typical band’s atmosphere. “Synthax Terror” has the impact of old metal school bands like Judas Priest, Manowar and Udo Dirkschneider. “Collectable” is a romantic ballad. Its lyrics remind one little of Alice Cooper’s “Wind Up Toy”. “Fangoria” is another hit. It takes its name from the American horror and cult film magazine that was very favorite of Mr. Lordi. It the intro to the video has a reference to the cult movie “Back to the Future”. As it is known, Mr. Lordi has been a great fan of horror movies, cult movies, SFX costumes and effects since his childhood. “Hellizabeth” is the next song with a video. It is a story about a woman in a ghost-haunted house. “Retropolis” is a song about neon, post-apocalyptic version of the 80s. It is followed by the second ballad, “Frighteousness”. The title song “Limited Deadition” is another monstrous song, and the final “You Might Be Deceased” calms down the listener that all of his problems are only a thought.
