Ghost, Fredrik Åkesson and Eric Ericson Chamber Choir perform “Bohemian Rhapsody”

The musicians from Ghost together with Fredrik Åkesson from Opeth, and Eric Ericson Chamber Choir performed the Queen’s emblematic hit “Bohemian Rhapsody” on the stage of the Polar Music Prize. The Polar Music Prize is an international music prize founded in 1989 by the late Stig “Stikkan” Anderson. He was a publisher, lyricist and manager of ABBA. He gave the Polar Music Prize the name of his label Polar Music. It is one of the most unique and prestigious music rewards in the world. The 2025 edition awarded Queen with the Polar Music Prize. The emblematic sound, the virtuoso guitar of Brian May and the unforgettable performances of the late Freddie Mercury made Queen one of the best bands ever. The four members of the band composed strong hits that are favorite both to the old and the new generations. Queen were not exaggerating when they sang the hit “We Are The Champions”. The Polar Music Prize ceremony is held in Stockholm in the presence of the Swedish Royal Family. King Carl XVI Gustaf personally gave the reward to Brian May and Roger Taylor. They both had a speech. Adam Lambert (the current vocalist of Queen), Ghost, Robert Glasper, Leo Genovese, Fredrik Åkesson, Miriam Bryant, Erik Grönwall, and the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir performed songs from Queen.
