The German trash metal band Kreator announced a trailer for their documentary “Kreator – Hate & Hope”. The 110-minute long movie was directed by Cordula Kablitz-Post. She specialized in documentary film making. She founded Avanti Media in 1995 and Avanti Media Fiction in 2001 to produce feature films. She created documentaries for ARTE television, including the film “Die Toten Hosen – You only live once” about the German band “Die Toten Hosen”. It was nominated for best music documentary at the 59th International film Festival in Kraków 2019 and at Deutsches Dokumentarfilmfestival in Stuttgart 2019.
“Кreator – Hate & Hope” trace the 40-years history of the band, from the beginning as a school band in 1984 in the Ruhr area to the worldwide tours nowadays. The film’s scenario is a Cordula Kablitz-Post’s idea. She went with the band for one year tour in Wacken Open Air, Tokyo, Osaka, Bangalore, Los Angeles and ‘Klash Of The Ruhrpott’ in GelsenkirchenIt. Private video records and interviews with metal bands are included. The film shows the fights of Kreator against the hatred and the abysses of the society. With their demonic trash metal sound, guitar riffs, screaming vocals, and energetic drumbeats, Kreator are one of the well-known titans of the metal music scene. The film will have a premiere on July 2 at the 42nd Munich International Film Festival and a theatrical premiere on September 4.
