The German metal band Rage announced that they are recording a new album, “A New World Rising”, and it will be out on September 26th via SPV/Steamhammer worldwide except in Japan. The new album will show the evolution of the band’s sound and compositions. It will be without orchestrations, they will be saved for the next album. The first single, “Freedom”, shows the sound direction of the album, and the lyrics are about the most important things in the human’s life, and freedom in the first place. Peavy Wagner (vocals, bass), Jean Bormann (guitar) and Vassilios “Lucky” Maniatopoulos (drums) again show a positive thrash metal sound and the typical Rage guitar riffs.

Rage is one of Germany’s so-called “Big Four” of power metal, along with Grave Digger, Helloween, and Running Wild.
