The Varna Rock Adventure festival in Asparuhovo, Varna, Bulgaria, is a charity festival created in 2021 by the moto club “Brothers in the Wind” for their 30th anniversary. Varna Rock Adventure 2025 is the fifth edition of the festival. It has a free entrance and a lot of merchandise items and urns for donations. Every year the funds are used to purchase materials, supplies, and equipment for the Clinic of Pediatric Clinical Hematology and Oncology at the University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment “St. Marina” in Varna. This year the moto club “Brothers in the Wind” wants to provide a “hospital clown” project. It was developed for the first time by the “Doctor Placebo” Association of the Swiss Red Cross, founded by the professional hospital clown Leonard Steck from Switzerland. The hospital clown is a person that will take care of the mental health of the little patients. There was such a project in the Clinic of Pediatric Clinical Hematology and Oncology at the University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment “St. Marina” in Varna. The child psychologist and hospital clown Dimitar Gorchev, a famous radio host, and Neli Radeva, an actress and a teacher, were a part of it. The project was stopped because of a lack of money. Now it will be restored. The charity campaign face in 2025 is the former captain of the national football team, Stiliyan Petrov, who has been a symbol of the fight against cancer for years.
Every year Varna Rock Adventure is a home for famous local and foreign bands. This year we saw the fantastic performance of the Bulgarian bands Kerana and the Cosmonauts, D2, P.I.F., Do Sho, No More Many More, Soulfever, Rock Vets, Odd Crew, Sinnerg, and Der Hunds, the Italians ArseA, River Hounds from England, and Alogia from Serbia.
The Bulgarian band Brazen Abbot, created by the maestro Nikolo Kotzev, a musician and composer, had a performance with the Vratsa Symphony Orchestra and conductor Dimitar Kosev. They performed with the famous guest musicians, the Swedish vocalist Thomas Vikström from Therion and the Chilean singer Ronnie Romero, known for his work with Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group, Intelligent Music Project, Lords of Black, and others. At the beginning of their performance the electricity stopped, and it was restored about 40 minutes later, after the crowd sang some rock hits with the orchestra.
The headliner of the fourth night was the Croatian singer Dino Jelusić with his band Jelusick. They performed their songs, a tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne and some famous rock songs. The Bulgarian drummer Nick Nikolaev performed three songs with the Croatian musicians.
