Moonspell’s Live DVD “Opus Diabolicum” Will Be Out In October

The Portuguese gothic metal band Moonspell announces that the new live DVD “Opus Diabolicum” will be out on October 31st via Napalm Records. The album is a recording of the band’s live performance at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal. The first-ever symphonic show of Moonspell was on October 26th, 2024. “Opus Diabolicum” is a collection of Moonspell’s classic hymns and songs from their album “1755”. The band’s live performance was with one of the finest classical Portuguese orchestras – the 45-piece Orquestra Sinfonietta de Lisboa (Lisbon Sinfonietta Orchestra), conducted by maestro Vasco Pearce de Azevedo. The release will include DVD/Blu-ray, two-CD, black and colored vinyl and digital formats.

In an interview for Greece’s Keysmash magazine, Fernando Ribeiro said that the band has enough material for a new album, and probably it will become a reality at the beginning of 2026.

Moonspell released today a video from the “Opus Diabolicum” album, the song “Vampiria”.
