German power metallers Rage released their new album “A New World Rising” on September 26, 2025, via Steamhammer, one of Germany’s leading rock and metal labels. Rage have shown real strength and passion in composing new albums. The latest is the band’s 26th studio album. It is a shining example of cold power and unstoppable energy. This album is more thrashy than “Afterlifelines” (2024) and lacks orchestrations. It is an optimistic and bright light in the world of heavy metal. Peavy Wagner has proven once again that his compositions are strong and his band Rage is a leading German band for a reason. Last year he wrote a biography of the band, “Soundchaser: My Life with Rage”. It will be translated into English by the end of 2025 or early 2026. Rage celebrated their 40th anniversary the previous year.

“A New World Rising” begins with a tense intro, followed by the furious chords of the song “Innovation”. “Against The Machine” is a typical Rage song with Peavy’s melodic vocals and melodic guitar riffs. Some of the lyrics talk about the new world coming to replace the old – “Next Generation”, “Leave Behind”, “Paradigm Change”. The video for “Fire In Your Eyes” has also been released. This is the ballad of the album, too heavy for a ballad, but this is Rage. The rest of the songs are fast, with roaring and clear vocals, and raw drums and guitars, from which beautiful melodies flow.
