The Greek guitar virtuoso Gus G. has said in an interview with Rev. Tom Brice of Sportzwire Radio that he has two almost recorded albums. One of them is with his band Firewind, and the other one is a solo project. The new Firewind album will be released via BLKIIBLK later this year. The new album will mark the return of Henning Basse, who left the band in 2019. He is the vocalist in the acclaimed Firewind album “Immortals”. Basse was a touring vocalist on the “Allegiance” tour in 2007, and next was with Firewind from 2016 to 2019. Firewind announced their split with vocalist Herbie Langhans in November 2025. Langhans is a member of the supergroup Avantasia, and their schedules do not allow him to continue working with Firewind.

Gus G. has already recorded the material for his new solo album. It will be out later this year.
