Septicflesh Announces A Concert With An Orchestra In Plovdiv On September 19, 2026

The Greek death metal band Septicflesh will perform an exclusive grand show with an orchestra in the Ancient Theatre of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The previous year the band made this magnificent spectacle in Athens, in the Odeon of Herodes Atticus – also known as the Herodium. It is an ancient odeon from the time of the Roman Empire at the foot of the Acropolis with a capacity of about 5,000 spectators. On September 19th, Septicflesh will perform their show “Ancient Whispers” in Philipopolis, the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv. It is one of the best-preserved Roman theaters in the world, dating back to the end of the 1st century AD. The Ancient Theatre is functioning to this day as a cultural site for performances and concerts. The band will play with the orchestra and choir of the State Opera Plovdiv. It will be their one and only concert with an orchestra this year. The orchestra scores will be the work of the band’s guitarist “maestro” Christos Antoniou, who graduated as a classical music composer from the London College of Music. The poster art for the show is a work of the vocalist and bassist of Septicflesh, Spiros Antoniou, who has the artistic pseudonym Seth Siro Anton. He is the creator of many artworks for Moonspell, Paradise Lost, Exodus, and many other bands.

The Septicflesh concert in the Ancient Theater in Plovdiv, Bulgaria will be one of the three “Ancient Whispers” concerts with orchestra in the world. Organizer is Blue Hills Events. Tickets are available here.
