Alissa White-Gluz (ex-Arch Enemy) has announced her new band Blue Medusa. Her guitarists are Alyssa Day (Mindscar Absentia and Dani Sophia (ex-Till Lindemann). The bassist is Alicia Vigil (Dragonforce, Vigil Of War) and the drummer is Delaney Jaster (Stitched Up Heart). Alissa White-Gluz has presented the new band on March 8, the International Women’s Day. She wrote on her social media:
“Blue Medusa @bluemedusamusic is the next evolution of everything I’ve been building toward for years.”
“It’s my creative melting pot. Everything fans enjoy about the energy, intensity, and performance they’ve always experienced on stage with me over the past two decades is still here, even stronger. That is me, that is who I am and who I’ve always been. And now it’s amplified and unleashed in a fully sovereign artistic vision. Our music has blazing guitar solos, crushing riffs, brutal vocals, fast and aggressive drums, thoughtful melodies and most importantly (to me), really cogitative lyrics.”
White-Gluz said that the band is working on a new material. Their first live appearances will be at Louder Than Life and Aftershock festivals this year. Meanwhile, White-Gluz is working on a new album. In November 2025 she announced the first single from her upcoming solo album “The Room Where She Died”. The vocalist left Arch Enemy after about twelve years.
