Velian Releases “Embers” Album

The Bulgarian dark metal band Velian released the new album “Embers” on March 13th, 2026. It was mixed and mastered by the Dutch producer Jacob Hansen (Amorphis, Volbeat, Arch Enemy, Epica, and others). It was recorded in the Sofian Pepinio Records with a sound engineer, Petar Bratanov. The designer of the cover art is Khaos Diktator Design, an artistic name of Gorgoroth’s vocalist Atterigner. The whole album design is made by Nicolas Petras. You can buy it here.

The whole album is dark and melancholic, with wonderful melodic lines, roaring and clean vocals and romantic poetry. It has a conceptual storyline. The sound is a mixture of symphonic, gothic, death and progressive metal. There are influences of Paradise Lost, Nevermore, Moonspell, Samael, and other bands. After “Godless“( 2019) and“Spectacle of Tragedy“(2023), “Embers” shows the band’s musical development. The sound of the musicians is reconisable not only in Bulgaria, but on the world stage.
