The German thrash metal band Sodom will release “Sodom: The Official Authorized Biography” via Decibel Books, translated into English. It is written by Dr. Holger Schmenk, who visited the deepest basement rehearsal rooms and roughest pubs to unveil the true story about Tom Angelripper (Onkel Tom) and the line of his ever-changing bandmates. He follows the story of Sodom from the first demo, “Witching Metal”, to their international success with “Agent Orange” and to nowadays. The book contains over 200 rare and unpublished-until-now photos, hard covers, and over 300 pages in English.

Sodom was founded in 1982 and is based in Gelsenkirchen. The band is considered a pioneer of death metal and a titan of German thras metal. The only constant in the band is Onkel Tom Angelripper.
