The American progressive rock band Savatage will release the album “Madness Reigns From The Gutter”, recorded in 1990. The album is recorded on the band’s legendary “Rulin’ Gutter” tour, which was started after the release of the iconic album “Gutter Ballet. It marks one of the highest peaks in Savatage’s career. They conquered the audience with their charismatic theatrical presence on the stage. The success was followed by the albums “Street: A Rock Opera” (1991) and “Edge Of Thorns” (1993). “Edge Of Thorns” was the last album featuring the guitarist Criss Oliva, who became a victim of a catastrophe six months later, and the first album with the vocalist Zachary Stevens after Jon Oliva stopped singing. Jon Oliva has returned to singing in the album “Poets and Madmen” (2001). Savatage stopped touring after 2002. They started scenic appearances in 2025 with the intention to make a huge farewell world tour. Their founder Jon Oliva told the press that he planned a recording of a new album, “Curtain Call”. The recording had to stop because he had serious health problems. “Curtain Call” will be the band’s twelfth studio release in their forty-year career.

Savatage will be for the first time in Bulgaria on July 23rd at the Rowing Channel in Plovdiv. They will perform at the Be4HILLS festival by invitation of Fest Team. The band is on tour, called “Prelude To Madness”.

The album “Madness Reigns From The Gutter” is restored from the original records and remastered and will be released on June 26th via earMUSIC on a CD and vinyl.
