Metallica has released a recording with James Hetfield reading “A Visit From St. Nicholas”. The poem is from an anonymous author, and it was often called “The Night Before Christmas” or “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas”. It was first published in 1823 under the title “Account Of A Visit From St. Nicholas”. Authorship has been attrinuted to Clement Clarke Moore in 1837, or to Henry Livingston Jr..
