On October 2, Ivan Lechev, Nikeca and Rosen Vatev will conquer the stage of Vidas Art Arena with new music, presenting their new single and their first EP, and next they will meet with fans.

The rock band VOLEVA is holding its first concert this fall, presenting its new single and its debut EP. On October 2nd, the renovated covered stage of Vidas Art Arena will become a place for a special meeting with three talented and well-known musicians – Ivan Lechev, Nikolay Vodenicharov-Nikeca and Rosen Vatev. Their concert is at the invitation of Fest Team, and tickets are now on sale in the Ticket Station network at prices starting from 15 euros.
VOLEVA is a supergroup created in 2021 with the release of their first single “I Came to Take You”. The author of the music and lyrics is Nikeca, and Ivan Lechev recorded the guitars and invited Rosen Vatev to record the drums. This is how the band was formed, which, however, received its name three years later during the filming of the video for their second song “Here I am”. The godfather of the band is Lechev, who gave the idea to use the first two letters of the musicians’ surnames. After the debut single, the main author of the music and arrangements in the band is Rosen Vatev.
All three are well-known names to the audience, but from different bands. Ivan Lechev is one of the most significant artists with a career spanning over four decades. He has been a guitarist for the legendary “FSB” since 1978, since the late 1990s he has been part of the project of Stefan Valdobrev and the Usual Suspects, and since 2013 he has been a member of the supergroup “The Foundation”. In addition to being a composer, arranger and producer, Lechev is an author of music for theatre, cinema and television, a long-time studio musician and a three-time winner as a mentor on “The Voice of Bulgaria”.
Rosen Vatev is one of the most sought-after professional musicians in our country. Growing up in a family of drummers, Vatev has played in some of the most popular Bulgarian bands, some of which he co-founded and continues to be a part of to this day – “Safo”, “Tube Hedzzz”, “Bobo & The Gang” and “The Animators”. In 2016, together with the band “Jeremy?”, they were chosen by Brian May and Roger Taylor to support “Queen” during their European tour in Poland, Romania and Bulgaria. For the past 15 years and until now, Vatev has been the drummer in Lili Ivanova’s musical band.
Nikolay Vodenicharov-Nikeca is a well-known name alongside the bands “Casual Threesome” and “The Fox and the Cats”. In 2019, he reached the semi-finals of the show “The Voice of Bulgaria”, and 2 years later he debuted on the stage of the Plovdiv Opera in the role of Jesus Christ in the play “Jesus Christ Superstar”. Since last year, he has been playing George Burger in the musical “Hair”.
VOLEVA has 4 singles so far, with “Freakshow” and “Shock and Panic!” being the last released tracks of the super project. On October 2, the band will premiere its new single and mark the release of its first EP on a compact disc, which will include the four songs released so far. All of them are distributed on music platforms, with each of them having topped the Z-Rock radio chart for new Bulgarian rock music “REYNAERS TOP 30”.
VOLEVA’s concert on October 2nd at the renovated covered stage of Vidas Art Arena will be truly special, as the band will be joined by musicians Plamen Denchev (keyboards) and Hristo Mihalkov (bass). In addition, there will be guest performers on stage. And after the concert, VOLEVA will stay to meet with their fans and sign autographs.
