Saxon Announces New Album “Gods Of Thunder”, Releases Title Song

British heavy metal band Saxon have announced the release of their new album on January 22, 2027 via Silver Lining Music. “Gods Of Thunder” will mix fantasy, horror, history and ancient mythology elements in one. The album is produced by the Saxon frontman Biff Byford and produced by Andy Sneap, a long-time Saxonproducer and a touring Judas Priest guitarist. The sound combines the power and the creativity of the band through the years, showing them at their best composing form. The storytelling reflex the Byford ‘s passion for history. On the song “The Bloody Tower (The Ballad Of Anne Boleyn)” Byford recounts about the political execution of Anne Boleyn. In “Medusa” the storyline is about the Greek myth. The song “M15” bring themes from the Cold War and the Berlin Wall.

“Gods Of Thunder” album will be available on vinyl variants, CD, exclusive bundles and digital formats.
