Starting in September, the small stage at Vidas Art Arena enters its first autumn-winter season featuring a roof, climate control, and a diverse, rapidly filling event calendar. It is one of the most moder halls in Sofia. The first concerts are already listed in the Fest Team schedule, with more announcements to follow. The stage is now equipped with a weather-adaptive covering system that can be adjusted according to the day’s specific needs and temperatures. During the winter months, the stage will be housed within a 1,400-square-meter structure; this extends the venue’s active season beyond the traditional warm months, opening it up to concerts, festivals, exhibitions, and various corporate events year-round. The space retains the character and atmosphere that established the stage as one of Sofia’s most recognizable summer venues.

This change aims to enhance comfort for both visitors and artists, regardless of the weather outside. The new covering provides protection against rain and adverse weather conditions, while the climate control system allows the space to be used even in lower temperatures. The new structure is part of Vidas Art Arena’s long-term development and its goal to evolve beyond the confines of a typical summer concert venue.

With an area of ​​1,400 square meters and dimensions of 35 by 40 meters, the new structure ranks among the largest of its kind in the country. It features a vinyl covering, stands 6 meters high at the eaves, and reaches a peak height of 12 meters. The scale of the space allows for various configurations tailored to the nature of the event—ranging from concerts with standing or seated audiences to cocktail receptions, exhibitions, and other special events. The venue is also equipped with an HVAC system capable of heating or cooling the space based on external temperatures and specific event requirements.

Regardless of the weather forecast, the newly transformed Vidas Art Arena opens its doors this week, hosting performances by Cool Den (September 16) on the small stage, followed by No More Many More—joined by Taraleshta—celebrating the band’s 13th anniversary (September 18). On September 26, the Dutch gothic metal band Blackbriar will stop in Sofia as part of their A Thousand Little Deaths European tour. The autumn-winter season officially kicks off with a concert by VOLEVA on October 2; the supergroup—featuring Ivan Lechev, Niketsa, and Rosen Vatev—will present a new single and their debut EP. Next up, on October 16, is American artist JMSN, bringing his Scared Straight tour and signature blend of contemporary R&B and neo-soul.
