Graspop Metal Meeting takes place from 15 to 18 June 2023 in Dessel, Belgium.

The heavy metal festival was founded in 1986, and it wasn’t provided only in 2020 and 2021 because of the Covid-19 restrictions.

Graspop started as a family festival, but at 1995 when the main performers were Joe Cocker and Simple Minds, the owner of the festival, Peter Van Geel, reoriented his conception and made the festival for a large auditory in a collaboration with Bob Schoenmaekers, owner of Biebob concert venue and metal club in nearby Vosselaar. (source: Wikipedia). Together they started in 1996 the nowadays Graspop Metal Meeting, which gathered above 220 000 visitors at 2022, despite the small space for such kinds of happenings.

The 2023 edition of the festival presents bands as Arch Enemy, Disturbed, Ghost, Guns n’ Roses, Gojira, Machine Head, Papa Roach, Pantera, In Flames, Kreator, Mötley Crüe, Three Days Grace, Def Leppard, Hollywood Vampires, Slipknot, Architects, Halestorm, Meshuggah, Amon Amarth, and many others.
