The Bulgarian rock and metal festival Midalidare Rock In The Wine Valley announced the first performers for 2025. The festival will be held on July 11, 12 and 13, 2025. The organizers have announced the very first headliner, Manowar in the summer, shortly after the end of the 2024 edition. The Americans Manowar are world-famous for their metal hymns. Their concert at Midalidare Rock will be a part of their “The Blood Of My Enemies Tour”, which will start on the 1st of January 2025. Next year Manowar will celebrate their 45th anniversary. The musicians have played in Bulgaria at 4 more concerts. They did a rock performance of the Bulgarian anthem, and their translated song “Father” into Bulgarian. The band has a Guinness record for their five-hour-long concert at the Kaliakra Rock Festival 2008.

The American rock idols W.A.S.P. will play on the 11th of July. The band comes to Bulgaria often, and it had a show for its 40th anniversary. The acronym W.A.S.P. is a subject of speculation – whether it means anything or not. “We Are Sexual Perverts” was inscribed on both sides around the label in the center of the original U.S. release of the band’s debut album. “Winged Assassins” is inscribed on the spine of the first vinyl pressing. Some say that the meaning is “White Anglo-Saxon Protestants”. Blackie Lawless is always avoiding a direct answer.

On July 13, German metal singer Doro will perform with her band. She has won the award for Best Female Singer in Spain for 30 consecutive years. She has awards from Los Angeles, the Metal Goddess Legend, the reward Legend from Germany and England, and many others. Her group celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2023.

The creator of the shock rock, the rock dinosaur Alice Cooper (born name Vincent Damon Furnier), is the headliner on the 13th of July. His career spans over five decades. The legendary singer had a world tour in 2022 with his new album “Road”. He had a tour with his supergroup Hollywood Vampires, with his friends Joe Perry, Johnny Depp, and Tommy Henriksen in 2023. Visitors to Midalidare Rock will have the chance to see his greatest hits, new songs and his remarkable horror show on the stage.

There are tickets for the 3 days of the festival and separate tickets for the camping zones. There is a camping for cars and caravans, Caming River with personal tents and Camping Winery, which is almost sold out, and only festival tents can be rented. Soon there will be one-day tickets.

In previous years there were stars such as Saxon, Axel Rudy Pell, Stratovarius, Hammerfall, Accept, Delain, Primal Fear, Beast In Black, Deep Purple, O’Reilley’s and the Paddyhats. Helloween, Avantasia, Firewind, konkurent, Ross The Boss, Judas Priest, Freedom Call, Ugly Kid Joe, Running Wild, Blind Guardian, Sabaton, Alestorm, Lacuna Coil, and others.

Midalidare Rock In The Wine Valley is located in the middle of Bulgaria, in Mogilovo Village near the cities of Chirpan and Stara Zagora. There is Midalidare Estate winery and a special winery tour.
