Nova Rock Festival is annually held in Austria, near Nickelsdorf village and the Hungarian and Slovak borders. The festival was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It has started in 2005, and every year in June various famous metal and rock stars are playing there – System Of A Dawn, The Prodigy, Green Day, Marilyn Manson, Nightwish, Core, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Bullet For My Valentine, Gogol Bordello, Sebastian Bach, In Extremo, Linkin Park, Lordi, Slayer, Machine Head, Papa Roach, Judas Priest, Disturbed, Alter Bridge, Rage Against The Machine, Die Toten Hosen, The Verve, Guano Apes, Bring Me the Horizon, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Volbeat, 3 Doors Down, Korn, Awolnation, Rammstein, Kiss, Five Finger Death Punch, Kreator, Trivium, Epica, Deathstars, The Offspring, Garbage, Megadeth, Skillet, Beat In Black, Sabaton, The Cure, Godsmack, Tesseract, Behemoth, Slash ft. Myles Kennedy, Muse, Palcebo, Alice Cooper, Kerry King, The Sisters Of Mercy, Saltatio Mortis and many others.

It is organized by Nova Music Entertainment, a cooperation between Musicnet, FKP Scorpio, and several former employees/bookers of Wiesen. The festival has one stage in the first year, two stages in the next years and since 2015 it has three stages.

The line-up for 2025 includes stars as Korn, Dead Poet Society, Linkin Park, Iggy Pop, Rise Against, Slipknot, Powerwolf, Apocalyptica, Awolnation, Jinjer, Payton Parish, Powerwolf, Lorna Shore, Airbourne, Greeen, Electric Callboy, Amaranthe, Dragon Force, Heaven Shall Burn, Skillet, Polaris, and many others. The 2025 edition will be held from the 11th to the 14th of June.
