Behemoth’s “The Shit Ov God” Is Out Now!

Today the Polish extreme metal band Behemoth released their long-awaited album “The Shit Ov God”. It comes after a month of a successful European tour with the Norwegian black metal band Satyricon and the Greek death metal band Rotting Christ. “The Unholy Trinity” had a brilliant, unforgettable live-stream concert from their show in Wroclaw, Poland, on April 25th. Once again Behemoth proved that they are leaders on the world metal stage.

“The Shit Ov God” is the thirteenth album of the band. It is released via Nuclear Blast Records. Producers are Adam Nergal Darski, Tomasz Wróblewski, and Zbigniew Robert Promiński. Nergal is the composer and lyricist of all the songs. The album features fast-paced guitars and drums, head-spinning riffs, Nergal’s creepy ripping vocals, and dark choruses. The lyrics are satanically blasphemous, the sound is more death metal and it is returning to earlier albums.

The first song is “The Shadow Elite”, a wild track with speed guitar riffs and screaming refrains. It is followed by the unquestionable hit “Lvciferaeon”. The guitar solos are exceptionally technical. The lyrics and the memorable refrain are creating an incredible atmosphere. The video for the song is a beautiful cinematic horror-style art. The next song is “Sowing Salt”. The hysterical vocals tear the air. Today is the release of the video to the song. It has a fantastic and futuristic dark atmosphere. It is followed by the title song, “The Shit Ov God”. The lyrics are revolutionary and blasphemous, and place man against divinity as a kind of rebellion.”To Drown The Svn In Wine” is a speed trash metal song. “Nomen Barbarvm” begins and ends with a creepy “Abracadabra” refrain that frames strophes about horrors. The song “O Venvs, Come!” is epic and its mood is reminiscent of “O Father, O Satan, O Sun!”. The final “Avgvr (The Dread Vvltvre)” is another satanic hymn glorifying the last living god.
