The Finnish metal diva Tarja Turunen released her live concert “Circus Life”, recorded in January 2020 in Bucharest. It is a two-hour-long concert, recorded without any corrections and improvements of the sound, without any special effects. Tarja performed this concert in a very special “in the round” format with sixteen other musicians, including her brother Toni Turunen. The setlist spans all of her career – she sang hits such as “I Walk Alone”, “Until My Last Breath”, “Innocence”, “Victim Of Ritual”, and “Demons In You” that show her evolution as an artist.
Tarja said: “There are many things I will always remember from the recording of ‘Circus Life’, but the whole concept of togetherness in that round circle is something that I will never forget. It was different to have that type of stage; I could chill, walk around, sing and rock out with everyone, and it was so wonderful to have that access to everyone and everything. This show is already a treasured memory, and for now, I will happily settle for the thought that hopefully we will do it all over again… one day… somehow.”
The band includes: lead vocals & piano Tarja, drums Timm Schreiner, percussion Andy Pupato, bass & guitars Doug Wimbish, bass & guitars Pit Barrett, guitars & vocals Alex Scholpp, guitars Julian Barrett, guitars Rafael Bittencourt, keyboards & piano Christian Kretschmar, keyboards Guillermo De Medio, vocals Clementine Delauney, vocals Chiara Tricarico, vocals Toni Turunen, first violin Marco Cano, violin Alexey Aslamas, viola Petr Suslik, cello Zachar Fedorov.
The album is released via EarMUSIC in the following formats: 2CD+Blu-ray Digipak, 3LP Gatefold + Photo Booklet, Blu-Ray Softbox, Streaming + YouTube. It can be ordered here: https://tarja.lnk.to/CircusLifeYT
