“The Last Will And Testament” is the name of Opeth’s upcoming album. The Swedish progressive metal band will release their 14th studio album via Reigning Phoenix Music, and next they will go on a long tour in North America.

OPETH’s fourteenth album was written by Åkerfeldt in a collaboration with many famous musicians – lyrics were conferred with Klara Rönnqvist Fors (The Heard, ex-Crucified Barbara), and Stefan Boman (Ghost, The Hellacopters) is a co-producer together with Åkerfeldt. The albums is engineered by Boman and Joe Jones (Killing Joke, Robert Plant). The string instruments are arranged by Åkerfeldt and Dave Stewart (Egg, Khan) and conducted by Stewart at Angel Studios in London. In the album also take part the flutist and Jethro Tull leader Ian Anderson with his flute and as a narrator in some of the songs, the Europe’s vocalist Joey Tempest as a back vocalist on §2, and the Åkerfeldt’s youngest daughter, Mirjam Åkerfeldt, singing in §1. The album is being mixed at Atlantis and Hammerthorpe Studios in Stockholm by Opeth and Bonam.
