
The biggest French festival for extreme music and one of the most acclaimed music festivals in the world has revealed the line-up for 2026. Located in Clisson, 30 km southeast of Nantes, the festival started its existence in 2006 and invited bands such as Metallica, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Slipknot, Guns N’ Roses, Rammstein, Kiss, and many other of the world’s best musicians. Over 240 000 people visited it last year. More than 180 bands performed on the six stages. In 2020 and 2021 the festival was forced to stop due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022 the festival had a two-part edition and was eight days long. In 2023 it has returned to its common four-day format.
Hellfest Open Air 2026 will be held from June 18 to June 21, 2026. There will be performances by Bring Me The Horizon, Iron Maiden, Limp Bizkit, The Offspring, Deep Purple, Sabaton, Volbeat, Bad Omens, Halloween, Alice Cooper, Papa Roach, Megadeth, Breaking Benjamin, Hatebreed, Igorrr, Behemoth, Napalm Death, Cult Of Luna, Mayhem, Deicide, Tom Morello, Static-X, Queensryche, The Pretty Reckless, Alestorm, Sepultura, Brothers Of Metal, Anthrax, Cavalera “Chaos A.D.”, Amenra, Rotting Christ, The Gathering, Marduk, Feuerschwanz, Six Feet Under, The Halo Effect, My Dying Bride, God Is An Astronaut, Rivers Of Nihil, Down, and many more. There will be 183 artists, and 85 bands will play for the first time.
2026 marks 20 years since the festival’s very first edition, and in 2027 Hellfest will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Until then you can listen to the new festival’s partner QOBUZ, the French high-quality streaming and downloading platform.
