Bulgarian dark metal band Velian shared a new video for their song “Ministry” on April 16, 2026. The song has social lyrics against war, global tyranny, and political manipulation and against poverty and the misery of the poor. The music is melodic death metal verses with loud vocals and melodic choruses in the style of Amorphis. It also contains influences from Samael, Hypocrisy, Dark Tranquillity, and Crematory.
The video was created by the band’s vocalist Ivan Ivanov with the help of artificial intelligence and perfectly illustrates the management of wars and global terror. The song calls on people to rebel against tyranny.
Velian released their new album “Embers” in March this year. It was mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen. Now the band will have concerts in Plovdiv, at Under City Club on April 18th, 2026, and in Sofia, at Mixtape 5 Club on May 8th, 2026.
