The Finnish opera metal diva Tarja Turunen will come back to Bulgaria and will perform with the String Orchestra of the State Opera Plovdiv her special show “The World of Dreams”. It is a part of a limited number of concerts in intimate surroundings and will be held at the Antique Theatre of Plovdiv on September 18th, 2026.

“The World of Dreams” is a special concept by the Finnish singer, and the French pianist Nicolas Horvath is a main figure. The compositions in the set list have new arrangements for piano and orchestra, and they have an additional depth. They will perform songs from Tarja’s solo career, classic songs of her ex-band Nightwish, and Tarja’s adaptations of compositions from Rammstein, Linkin Park, Within Temptation, Metallica, Slipknot, Jorn… and works by classical composers.

The Bulgarian public will see the adored Tarja in a different light and will hear her personal interpretations of world classics with an orchestra in the perfect atmosphere of the Antique Theatre in Plovdiv.

On the next day, September 19th, at the Antique Theatre, the Greek symphonic death metal titans Septicflesh will perform with the orchestra and choir of the Plovdiv State Opera. They will present their exclusive show “Ancient Whispers”. The concert is part of the Music of the Ages music forum and the Cultural Calendar of the Municipality of Plovdiv.
