Tonight Varna Summer Theater will be a home of one of the most captivating voices of the French chanson, Julien Dassin, the son of the singer Joe Dassin. He is on a romantic tour in Bulgaria. After Plovdiv and Sofia, now the singer will perform the very favorite family hits of Toto Cutugno, written for his father, the king of the French chanson, Joe Dassin. The concert will start at 20:00.

Born on March 22, 1980, Julien Dassin is the second child in the family of Joe Dassin and his wife Christine. Together with his brother Jonathan Dassin, he dedicates his life to preserving and promoting his father’s musical heritage, turning it into a living part of the contemporary scene. In 2010 the two created the spectacle “Once Upon A Time Joe Dassin”, directed by Christophe Barratier. Julien Dassin performs on stage a virtual duet with his father, as he is back on stage. The show had great success in Europe and USA. Julien Dassin has a strong stage presence, and the spirit of his father Joe Dassin can be clearly felt in his voice and interpretation.

Toto Cutugno has written 13 songs for Joe Dassin. You can hear tonight„Les Champs-Élysées“, „L’Été Indien“ (Indian Summer), „Salut“, „À Toi“ (To You) , “Et Si Tu N’existais Pas”, “Le Jardin du Luxembourg”and many others. Special guests of the concert will be the stars Chiara Di Bari from Italy and Lorene Nogier from France.
