Jelusick Will Be Special Guest of Judas Priest Concert In Sofia

The Croatian hardcore and progressive metal band Jelusick will be a special guest of Judas Priest Concert in Sofia on August 29th at the Vidas Art Arena. The legendary Judas Priest are returning to Bulgaria as part of their European tour “Faithkeepers”. Remaining tickets for the event can be found on http://www.ticketstation.bg at prices starting at 55 euros.

Jelusick was founded by Dino Jelusick, vocalist, keyboardist and songwriter, known for his work with Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Dirty Shirley (with George Lynch) and many others. Together with Ivan Keller (guitar) and Luka Brodaric (bass), the band presents a powerful mix of hard rock and heavy metal, intertwined with elements of progressive and strong melodic lines. The Bulgarian drummer Nik Nikolaev, known from Stanley’s bands, hug or handshake and others, will join them on stage.

The band has two studio album. Their debut “Follow the Blind Man” (2023) has received widespread acclaim for its production and lyrical depth. It was the one that was honored for “Best Rock Album of 2023” at the “Porin Award” awards – the most prestigious music award in Croatia. “This is a very powerful melodic heavy metal record with stellar production and exceptional music,” writes the Metal Temple publication. The very next year, Jelusick took their music to the international level with appearances at major European rock festivals, as well as concerts in South America, sharing the same stage with artists such as Sebastian Bach and Mr. Big.

With their second album “Apolitical Ecstasy” from 2025, the band took the next step in their development, combining heavy riffs, complex instrumental mastery and powerful vocals. The album includes 10 tracks, among which are “Seasons”, “Power to the People” and “Hangman”. The recordings again received international acclaim, with most critics rating the album 9 or 10 out of 10, emphasizing its powerful sound. Publications such as Powerplay and MyGlobalMind Webzine described “Apolitical Ecstasy” as “an album that once again proves why Dino is revered as one of the most sought-after vocalists on the hard rock scene” and that “the album is a must-listen”. Last year, the band also reached the stages of South Korea with a tour and joint appearances with YB – one of the biggest rock bands in Asia.

The Bulgarian audience will witness Jelusick’s powerful and uncompromising performances on August 29 at Vidas Art Arena, before the heavy metal beasts Judas Priest return to the Sofia stage. With an impressive career spanning almost 60 years, the band was formed in 1969 in Birmingham, England, but to this day their presence on the world music scene remains active and more than impressive. From iconic albums such as “Sin After Sin” (1977), “British Steel” (1980) and “Screaming for Vengeance” (1982), through arguably their heaviest album “Painkiller” (1990), to “Firepower” (2018), which includes 14 songs and becomes one of the highest-rated records of their career, Judas Priest continue to evolve and be loved equally by critics and fans.
