The Bulgarian rock band Toma will open the concerts of Marko Hietala in Sofia and Varna. Toma Zdravkov is a well-known Bulgarian musician who performs together with some of the most experienced Bulgarian musicians. Together with his band, he presents original music that combines a modern rock sound with a classic hard rock influence. He and his band will be special guests at both of Marko Hietala’s concerts in Bulgaria – July 17th in Sofia (Park Center Yunak) and July 19th in Varna (Summer Theater).

Angel Dyulgerov (guitar), Plamen Denchev (keyboards), Ivan Yordanov – Cherry (guitar), Alex Van Lazarov (drums) and Kiril Kozhushkov (bass guitar) together with Toma, will kick off both of Marko Hietala’s concert nights, preparing the audience in Sofia and Varna for a meeting with one of the iconic figures of the Finnish rock and metal scene.

The Finnish legend himself will present his second solo album, ‘Roses From The Deep’ (already released by Nuclear Blast in February 2025) and will prove that the stage is his natural home.

His band consists of the following members: Bob Engstrand – keyboards and backing vocals, Tuomas Wäinölä – guitar / synthesizer, and Anssi Nykänen – drums. They will perform songs from “Roses From The Deep” and from Hietala’s career from the years with Nightswish and Tarot, with new, more intimate arrangements.
