The vocalist of the legendary band Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson, has recorded a new version of his ballad “Change of Hearth” from his album “More Balls To Picasso”, recorded in 2025 (a remastered version of the album “Balls To Picasso” from 1994). In September 2025, Bruce Dickinson and the directors Leo Liberti and Antoine de Montremy created a beautiful film for the song in São Paulo, Brazil. The video for the song “Change of Heart” is captured in an abandoned building in the heart of the city and shows chaos, desolation and suffering. A young boy is showing the William Blake painting “The Good And Evil Angels” as a silent messenger through the film. Bruce Dickinson has recorded the video for “Tears of the Dragon” in São Paulo, Brazil, and he decided to use the chance to make a video for “Change of Heart” with the same team. “Tears of the Dragon” was awarded with many musical awards in 2026.

The vocalist will release his new solo album at the beginning of 2027 via BMG. It will be a continuation of “The Mandrake Project”. Bruce Dickinson has said for the press that he will collaborate with his older son Austin, who will take part in the new album. The 35-year-old Austin is well-known as a former member of the metal bands Rise to Remain and As Lions. Other musicians involved in the record are the guitarists Chris Declercq and Philip Näslund, the keyboardist Mistheria, the drummer Dave Moreno, and the bassist Tanya O’Callaghan. The new album is mostly recorded in January and February 2026 at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Northridge, California, with producer Brendan Duffey, who is mixing it at Brendan Duffey Audio’s high-end mixing and mastering studio in Jupiter, Florida.
