Quest Fest 2026 gathers some of the best power, heavy metal and progressive metal bands. This year the festival will take place on Saturday, October 10th, 2026. It is the only UK all-day metal music and fantasy tabletop role-playing gaming festival. It will start at 2:00 PM and will continue to 11:00 PM at KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton, England.

Quest Fest was founded in 2016 by Amie Chatterley and Gemma Lawler from the Birmingham band Dakesis. It was created to support the power, heavy and progressive metal in the UK. Its first edition as Power Metal Quest Fest was in 2017 at The Asylum in Birmingham. Famous international bands and underground rising performers from the UK share the stage. As a nonprofit organization, the festival keeps the ticket prices very affordable. All the profits are going toward supporting the bands and developing the event. After two years of interruption due to COVID-19 and a virtual Quest Fest in 2020 to keep the fans connected, the festival returned in 2022 at The Asylum. In 2024 the organizers saw that it is very hard to keep developing such an event with a small team and low-price tickets and made some changes: they removed Power Metal from the festival’s title and merged the music with the broader geek culture. The Quest Fest has become not only a music festival. The organizers have integrated fantasy tabletop role-playing gaming activities, a metal market, and a full-scale cosplay culture. Quest Fest became a sanctuary for all fantasy lovers, elves, gnomes, fairies, dwarfs, bards, warriors, and metal music fans. The festival has started to grow its audience and has changed its venue in 2025 from The Asylum in Birmingham to KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton. KK’s Steel Mill is a property of the ex-Judas Priest legendary musician KK Downing. Now the festival has become a large community that offers opportunities for artists and fans to network, collaborate, and grow.

The headliners this year will be the international power metal band All For Metal. The other bands that will participate are Myrath, Masterplan, Serious Black, Battle Born, Fortune Teller, and Crown Solace.

The Quest Fest 2026’s Official Warm-Up Show will take place on October 9th at The Giffard Arms, Wolverhampton, with the bands Vanitas and Grimmgotts. Vanitas is a symphonic progressive metal and djent band from Birmingham. Grimmgotts is a symphonic power and folk metal band from London, UK.
