Slavi Panayotov and Plamen Iliev offer their fans a uniquely spooky experience!
The HORRORWOOD festival will come to life on October 31st at the Boyana Film Center in Sofia, offering a special experience for fans of the paranormal and the mystical. Slavi Panayotov and Plamen Iliev—creators of the web series “Paranormal” and the faces behind the YouTube channel The Clashers—are preparing a special, approximately two-hour-long event. The program includes behind-the-scenes stories from “Paranormal,” accounts of the most intriguing cases and experiences encountered during filming, a showcase of actual props from the series, music and footage from the episodes, a Q&A session with Slavi Panayotov and Plamen Iliev, and a dedicated fan meet-and-greet.

On this Halloween Saturday, the Boyana Film Center will open its doors to the world of the macabre—a place where characters and sets come to life, and surprises for both children and adults await around every corner. Individual and group tickets for the Halloween Festival are available through the Ticket Station network, with a choice of three time slots: 11:00–14:00, 14:30–17:30, and 18:00–21:00.
The event “Enter the World of the ‘Paranormal'” begins at 18:30; this is an additional activity not included in the Halloween Festival ticket’s price. You may purchase a standalone ticket for this experience for 30 EUR, or add it to your existing festival ticket for a special price of 20 EUR—regardless of which time slot your Halloween Festival ticket is for.
In addition to an encounter with the paranormal, young fans of the spooky will have the chance to experience the world of the latest Bulgarian fantasy thriller, “The Heir” (Naslednikat), within the festival’s “Trick or Treat” zone. The film’s plot revolves around a story filled with secret rituals and sinister vampires. During the festival, every child will receive a sticker that will help them locate the original throne—taken directly from the set of “The Heir“—which is situated in the “Lower Earth” (Dolnata Zemya) zone. Children will also have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Yanitsa Mihaylova and Petya Andasarova, stars of the film.

At this year’s Halloween Festival, fans of the spooky will discover two main themed zones:
Amidst the streets of New York, you will find the “City of Monsters,” home to familiar and beloved characters—who aren’t there to scare, but to entertain! Here, children will encounter characters from films such as “Hotel Transylvania“, “The Nightmare Before Christmas“, “Beetlejuice“, “Frankenstein“, and many others—transforming Halloween into a day of imagination and play.
The “Underworld” zone immerses you in a darker, slightly eerie Halloween experience, inspired by Bulgarian myths, legends, and folklore creatures. Amidst this mystical atmosphere, you will find tarot readings, an escape experience, Laser Tag, and VR adventures, while the “Encyclopedia of Dark Bulgaria” introduces you to enigmatic tales from Bulgarian lore.
The festival offers a wealth of games and entertainment for all ages, featuring over 15 inflatable attractions, themed art workshops, escape rooms, a K-pop party, paintball, and more. Singer MONA will make a special appearance during the second and third time slots, and the evening will also feature the traditional costume parade. Please note that while unlimited access to all attractions is included with your ticket, it is subject to capacity limits and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
Organized by Fest Team at Nu Boyana, the Halloween Festival is taking place for the fourth consecutive year, bringing together guests of all ages for an experience where the fun and the frightening intertwine. Tickets for HORRORWOOD are available on the Ticket Station website.
