The famous Bulgarian rock festival Midalidare Rock in the Wine Valley will take place on July 9th, 10th, and 11th in Mogilovo Village, Municipality of Chirpan. The German power/heavy metals Edguy will participate in its seventh edition. The band returns to the stage for a farewell tour. To this moment they have confirmed dates for big European festivals, such as Sweden Rock, Metalfest Open Air, Wacken Open Air and Summer Breese. Of course there is a concert in Fulda, the hometown of Tobias Sammer, the founder, composer and vocalist of Edguy.

Edguy was founded in 1992 by the 14-year-old Tobias Sammet, Jens Ludwig, Dominik Storch and Dirk Sauer. The name “Edguy” was an affectionate epithet for their math teacher. They release their first album, “Savage Poetry”, in 1995. Now the band has ten released studio albums.

Tobias Sammet launched his other band, Avantasia, in 1999—initially just as a concept. He began composing and touring with it, while Edguy took a back seat. Now, the band has some final concerts ahead. Tobias Sammet stated that these shows will be the last in Edguy’s history.
