The founder of the Greek power metal band Firewind and ex-Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Gus G. has released his new solo album “Steel Burner” on April 24th, 2026, via Metal Department Records. The album shows the evolution of Gus G. as a guitarist and a composer. It combines instrumental works with songs with vocals. The invited guest musicians are the German metal queen Doro Pesch, who joins the song “Nothing Can Break Me”, a powerful metal hymn. “No One Has To Know” is with the vocals of Dino Jelusick (Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), Matt Barlow (Iced Earth, Ashes Of Ares) sings in “Dancing With The Death”, and there are two songs with the vocals of Ronnie Romero (Rainbow, MSG and others).

The instrumental first track “Steel Burner” leads to the vivid rock hymn with Doro Pesch, “Nothing Can Break Me”. “Dancing With Death” is a romantic power metal song with Matt Barlow. It has a lyrical verse and an aggressive refrain. It is followed by the virtuoso instrumental “Advent” and the lighter “What If”. “Frenemy” featuring Ronnie Romero is a hard rock song. Gus G. and Romero have been together on a tour since 2025 . “No One Has To Know” with the vocalist Dino Jelusick is powerful hard blues. The shaking voice of Dino Jelusick cuts the air. “Confession” is the third instrumental track in the album. It is a sad power metal ballad with a beautiful melody. “My Premonition” is the second song with Ronnie Romero, a ballad in the style of Whitesnake. “Closure” is the final track of thе album. The sound is romantic and melancholic.

Gus G. is the man who wrote almost everything on the album. He is the composer and lyricist of the songs. He played the kyeboards, bass guitar, lead guitar and did the programming. He is the producer of the album. Mixing and mastering engineer is Dennis Ward.
