The Bulgarian band Oratnitza will perform at Vidas Art Arena on September 12th, 2026. The guys will come back presenting their fourth new album “Stopan”. The new album will be released on September 5th. “Stopan”, according to the Bulgarian mythology, means a snake that sleeps in the roots of some tree in the forest or near a well, under a bridge, and it brings luck, makes a connection with the spiritual world. It is connected with the roots, with what was before our existance and what will be after it.

With their captivating mix of folklore motifs, familiar to generations of Bulgarians, combined with modern elements of dubstep, hip-hop, drum and base motifs, Oratnitza carry the charge of the past and the pulse of the future in their music. On September 12th, at Vidas Art Arena, the band will play STOPAN live for the first time, before the official premiere of the album.

Founded in 2009, Oratnitza experiment with well-known Bulgarian folklore motifs and vocals through the prism of the modern world, combined with electronic elements. Just a year later, the band won the Sofia Fusion Rally award for interpretation of Bulgarian folklore music, with the song “Lele, Svashke”. This moment was key for the future of the ethno-formation and brought them a contract with a music label, they toured the country at various music festivals such as Spirit of Burgas, Beglika Free Fest, Ailyak Fest, etc. In 2012, they released their debut album “Oratnitzsa”, the success of which pushed them to the international scene in Norway, Germany, Malaysia, Russia and others. In 2018, Oratnitza released their latest album “Alter Ethno”, through which they experimented with more styles such as afrobeat, jazz and heavier ambient music. This year, their return brings with it “Stopan” which is the band’s most mature album to date – deeper, bolder and multi-layered. In September, Oratnitza will present it live for the first time, but in addition to the new work, the audience will hear the familiar and beloved songs from their repertoire.

The bandhas released the song “Marko Elena Yostave” on September 2nd. This is the third single from the upcoming album. The previous songs are “Ayde, Bre” and “Tanka Stana”.
